The Christmas Elves...The untold Story

Well to start off with, I decided because it's Christmas soon to share my story with you all. I am taking my morning break right now, so I decided to start writing this story for you all, I will be taking any spare time I have between now and Christmas to get this story written. Well us elves go back thousands of years. We came about because of a wonderful loving and caring Christmas Fairy. That is how Christmas Town and us Fairies and Santa came about. There is the Claus and 2,002 of us elves living here. It’s a wonderful place, our houses surrounding the Claus’ home. They live in is a huge log cabin, 2 stories high. The mailbox is a cut out log, hollowed out in the center. And inside the home there is a Stoned Fireplace takes up the whole wall, it’s so nice and cozy there. Everywhere you look, everything is made of wood, it’s simply magnificent, stair case going to the upper floor is made of half logs. All the furniture is made out of wood. And once and mind you just once and please don’t ever tell Santa or Mrs. Claus but I snuck upstairs to see what their bedroom looked like. OMG the room was indeed a sight to see, their bed was the biggest Four Poster bed I have ever seen, well any bed would be big compared to our beds. Their bed was like 2 King Size beds put together, with fluffy duvets, made of red velvet, with tons of pillows on top made of red and white velvet. There is another Stoned Fireplace that takes up the whole wall, there are two cozy chairs with a table between them in front of the fireplace. There is a dresser and night table on either side of the bed made of walnut and stained burgundy. It’s has such a warm feeling in the room I didn’t want to leave. Each part of the house has all our pictures, some are on the walls some are on different pieces of furniture, I guess you could call us the Claus’ children. The kitchen has this huge Black and chrome Wood Stove that Mrs. Claus cooks meals and bakes all the goodies for Santa and us. The dining room has this beautiful China Cabinet and Hutch, there’s and enormous Dining Room table where we all sit for our Christmas meal, and I know what you are all thinking, how do we all fit at the table, well this whole place was made from magic so anything is possible. Well I could go on and on about their house, but I should continue with the story, as I don’t have much time left of my break. Behind the Claus’ home is this huge factory where all the toys are made for all the good children. As soon as Christmas day has come and gone we start making toys for the next Christmas. Inside the factory is this toy making machine. It spits out the different toys but some we have to put together and also paint them. We all have our own work stations set up. We also have a room where we and our own children check out the toys. My favorite toys to check out is paintballs, we have this special area it’s a dark room with neon lights and has 2 floors, I have this special spot where I can hide, and I can hit a lot of the other elves but hardly get hit myself. Up on the second level there is a little cubby hole, I look up every once in a while and “bang” I get them. I also love to check out all the video games. Oh and all the crafts I love them a lot too. There is also a special room where all the toys are gift wrapped stored to get ready to check the list which Santa does (thank heavens) but not once but twice to see who’s been Naughty or Nice This is done on Christmas Eve just before Santa is ready to leave to take the gifts to all the children around the world. Once the list has been checked twice we have another room they are sent through on a conveyor belt and bows are placed on these gifts. Guess about now you are wondering about Rudolf and how he got his red nose. Well he was at a Birthday Party for one of the Elves kid’s, dressed as a clown and a young fairy was there, and accidentally sprinkled pixie dust on Rudolf’s nose and POOF!!! It went Red, Crystal clear and shone “Oh So Bright”.

My break is over right now, back to work for me....

Well it's break time for me again so on with the story...

hmmmm now where was I...ahhh yes, Dolfie's Shiney Red Nose. In case you don't know Dolfie is our nickname for Rudolf. Now back to the Birthday Party for one of the Elve's children. Everyone was horrified and shocked to see what happened to Rudolf's nose. Poor Rudolf was in tears. He didn't want to spend the rest of his life with a Bright Shiny Red Nose. The little fairy tried all kinds of magical words and more pixie dust but all that did was make Rudolf's nose even redder and shine brighter. The other more experienced fairies tried to help, but alas the spell could only be broken by the original little fairy. She tried and tried to remember what it was that she had done, so she could reverse his nose back to the way it was. But all she could do was say how sorry she was and cried. Rudolf tried to comfort the little fairy and told her it was ok and actually he loved his new nose. Of course he didn't but he wanted the little fairy not to feel so bad and stop crying. Rudolf decided that he would just accept what had happened to him, there was nothing else he could do. His parents were oh so very proud of their son, who never complained or said "Why did this have to happen to me"? They told their son they would always be there for him and loved him no matter what. And it was what was on the inside, and not what someone looks like on the outside that counts always. Well the party continued till all the children had left. Rudolf and his family left to go back home. Clarice was also very proud of Rudolf and realized at that very moment how much she really loved him and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him by his side. Now, back in the factory Christmas Eve was almost upon us we still had a lot of toys to make. And wouldn't you know, the Toy Machine went haywire, instead of Red Trucks having chromed wheels that were round, they had square yellow wheels. There was a Bluebird that was suppose to fly but swam underwater like a fish. There was even a cowboy that should have been riding a horse that was on an ostrich. There was a little brown haired doll in a pink with white pokadot dress, that was suppose to talk when you pull the string but ribbited like a frog. We had to send in for the Macano Team to fix the Toy Machine. In the blink of an eye the Toy Machine was back working. And even better then before. So now we were back up and running with a deadline to meet. We had so many more Toys to assemble and paint. As I glanced up a the clock it seemed to be moving a lot faster then it should be, I had wished at that moment that I could have stopped the clocks all around the world to give us the time we would need to get everything prepared for Christmas Eve and Santa's trip around the world to all the good girls and boys.

Well the horn just sounded to end our shift for today. We are all heading to Santa's for a wonderful meal of Chicken Snitzel, Salad, Roasted Potatoes, and peas n carrots. Then off to bed... I'm really beat...

Well after that wonderful dinner and a great nights sleep, we are all ready to continue with the toys. There are still many toys that have to be assembled, painted, checked out and wrapped. Christmas Eve is just around the corner. We were all so very happy that the Toy Machine was fixed so quickly. As the toys ran along the conveyor belt into the wrapping room, I was hoping all would go well from now until Christmas Eve when Santa loaded up the sleigh and took off into the air to deliver them to all the children around the world. I was needed in the wrapping room, so I headed to the other end of the factory. This room was enormous with stained glass windows, with different kinds of winter scenes like a little boy and girl elf building a snowman. The snowman was dressed in a bright blue, red and green checkered scarf that was draped around the snowman's neck and he wore a black velvety Tall Hat. His eyes were made of coal and a carrot for a nose. In his mouth was a corn cobbed pipe, big blue buttons down the front of him, red mitts covered his hands. The bright moonlight lit up the snow and made it twinkle. The next was a picture of a Christmas tree, all decorated with silver and blue balls and tiny clustered blue lights and blue and silver tinsel. Another was of Christmas town. Another was boys and girls tobogganing down the hills. Each stained glass window was outlined in flickering mini white lights. After looking around the room at the decorations and windows I sat down at one of the wrapping stations, behind me where hundreds of different sized boxes and bags. Above us within reaching distance were dozens of different colored and textured wrapping paper on large rollers. Going down the center of the work stations were ribbons and bows that were red, blue, green, gold, silver and white. There were also name tags and pens and markers to write each girl and boys names on. We had all worked very hard to get everything wrapped and loaded into the sleigh for now it was Christmas Eve. Finally the night we had been striving for all year, was here. Then suddenly, report over the radio of a winter storm coming. Santa had talked it over with Mrs. Claus and decided the best thing to do was to cancel Christmas. But what about all the boys and girls, that had been so good this year. How would he explain that to them. Suddenly the door opened and in walked Rudolf, his shiny bright nose lit up the whole room with this warm glow. Santa had approached Rudolf and asked him if he would guide his sleigh through the winter storm. Rudolf was so happy and proud to be able to help Santa. With the sleigh all loaded and Rudolf at the head of all the reindeers, they all flew up into the snowy skies. For even after they were miles ahead you could still see Rudolf's shiny nose glowing in the dark. All the presents had been delivered all over the world. All the children woke up the next morning to presents under their trees. And maybe, just maybe the accident with the pixie dust wasn't and accident after all. With Santa and his sleigh back at Christmas town, they all started preparing for the new Christmas. And oh by the way, there would be a new addition to Christmas Town which would make the population 2,005. Happy Holidays to you all. And all the best for 2005.
